Dr. Jean D. Morency
Dr. Morency graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago in 1973 with high honors with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. He attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine and graduated with a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 1977. He then enrolled in the Post-doctoral training program at Harvard in Prosthetic Dentistry where he received a degree of Master of Science. During his postdoctoral training Dr. Morency was awarded a teaching Fellowship (1978-1979) and has been teaching other dentists in the technique, art, and science of dentistry for the last 36 years.
In 1979, Dr. Morency joined the United States Navy Dental Corps and was named Chief Prosthodontist at the Naval Regional Medical Center at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station.
In 1983, Lieutenant Commander Morency separated from active duty with an Honorable Discharge and founded The Arena Towers Dental Center in Houston where he has practiced Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry for the last 30 years.
In 1998, Dr. Morency began attending classes in highly Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry at the now famous Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). In 1999, he completed the Masters Course in Aesthetic Dentistry from the same institution. He completed the rigorous curriculum at LVI and was awarded the title of “ Master Cosmetic Dentist “ in 2006. This level of training has been achieved by less than 600 dentists throughout the world.
In 2000, Dr. Morency founded The Smile Enhancement Center that incorporates many phases and disciplines in dentistry to provide the highest level of quality care and satisfaction to our patients.
Dr. Morency has been named “Top Dentist in Houston” for the last five years (2009 -2014) by H-Magazine. He has also been nominated as “Best Dentist in America” for three years in a row (2010-2014).
Besides his passion for Artistry and Dentistry, Dr. Morency is an avid portrait photographer.
